Feng Shui Sleeping Under A Beam
When you follow Feng Shui principles to rearrange your bedroom, change the color of the wallpaper or paint you must take into consideration two important Feng Shui guidelines. Feng Shui Sleeping Under A Beam
1. The bed should not be directly opposite the door and
2. There should be no beams above the bed
Dealing with the first guideline of not having your bed directly opposite the door. It is important that you position your bed in the best place so that it has a good vantage point. This is essential so that you can see when anyone enters your room, and you are not caught unawares.
Because the Chinese believe that a dead person is always carried out feet first from the bedroom, they advocate that your feet should not be directly opposite the door!
I have to say that viewpoint is not exclusive to Feng Shui. In my caribbean culture people believe that because dead people are laid out with their feet to the door, you should not place the foot of the bed directly opposite the bedroom door either. Read more...
